Detailed information About CAT Exam: The most coveted and challenging MBA Entrance Exams for Management Aspirants
Common Admission Test(CAT) is the most popular entrance examination of India. CAT is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). CAT score is used by 20 IIMs and other premier management institutes across the country for admission in MBA or PGDM programs. More than two lakh students appear for the exam each year.
CAT started in 1950 in Pen and paper mode and graduated to being an online-entrance test in 2009. The question paper of CAT consists of 100 questions (MCQs) to be solved in 180 minutes. CAT 2020 pattern has been revised due to COVID-19 pandemic. This year, CAT exam will be conducted in three sessions instead of two and the duration of the exam will be only 120 minutes. The process of registration for CAT is online and the exam will be held on November 29 in 2020. CAT exam consists of three sections: Verbal Abiliy, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. These segments are grouped into three sections:
- QuantitativeAptitude (QA)
- Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
